About Beaches Co-op Playschool

We are a Parent Run Co-operative
Parents participate in duty shifts during two or three classes per month, are on-call several times per year for "reserve shifts", help run the Playschool through committee work, and attend meetings throughout the year. BCP is a great place for parents who are looking for a high level of involvement in and commitment to their child's pre-school experience.

Family-Led Separation
Beaches Co-operative Playschool welcomes parents in the classroom and respects the diversity of family practice around separation issues. Our teachers understand that every family experiences and makes decisions about separation differently. Teachers are on hand to offer support with a variety of separation strategies, and help comfort children adjusting to separation. |
 |
Learn Through Play
Unlike prep schools, or academic nursery schools, the Playschool Program focuses on learning through play, social and play skills, having fun and exploring the environment. Circle time becomes longer and more structured in the older classes. Families and Siblings are welcome.

Families and Siblings Welcome
Parents and siblings are welcome at all times and parents (including on-duty parents) are responsible for the supervision any unregistered children accompanying them at the Playschool.
